There are several indicators of medical and/or psychological issues which can present themselves in a multitude of ways in a practitioner’s life. This list by no means is all-inclusive, nor does any combination of specific indicators equate with potential impairment. A primary indicator of any unaddressed issue is change in attitude or behavior for which is significantly out of the ordinary for the individual. Below is a list of attitude, behavior, physical and performance changes which could indicate potential impairment in the healthcare practitioner in need of assistance and guidance.
